My Style, My Way

My Style, My Way

SS12 obsession for me is neon. Yellow neon anything. Constantly receiving compliments on this jacket, it has become a great loved staple of my wardrobe this season. Yes it is eye- catching and statement but works with so many outfits when styled differently.
What…. My beloved neon yellow Zara jacket With… H&M SS12 Conscious collection shirt with blue jeans and a neon necklace and my cherished Terry de Havilland (though swapped into Zara flats after a long day) Where… Dress up Day with Noora Alikhan for her ASOS Marketplace Look book

Runway.Fashion.Compassion by Reemami

One of my favourite local designers in Dubai is Reema Al Banna. Her eclectic brand Reemami offers a chic yet quirky collaboration of prints, textures and designs. To showcase her latest AW12 collection, Reemami teamed up with Palestine Children’s Relief Programme to support and bring attention to this worthy cause. They aim to provide medical and humanitarian care for children in the Middle East.
As one of Dubai’s more relaxed events, there was so much to entertain before  the latest designs walked the runway. Lollicups had the most adorable cupcakes on a stick (ideal to …

In Haitian, Zanmi means friends. A range of clothes with a cause or what we like to call Responsible Fashion was created by the stylish philanthropist Melissa Gilchrist Higgins aiming to benefit and rebuild Haiti after the devastating earthquake. Aiming to support projects in association with A.C.T.S, the first project is to build and complete an orphanage in Haiti, showing supporters what their donations and contributions have created. Having thrown themselves out of an aeroplane as well …

In the Press: Velvet Magazine

When I started Classicwithcolour.com, the original focus was on Irish designers and Dubai designers and celebrating the new, growing and emerging brands in the markets. Responsible Fashion came shortly after, taking inspiration from Imposter for Animals, a luxury faux fur line based in New York and seeing how brands can be responsible in their ethics, production and even down to their marketing.
We have featured brands both in Dublin and Dubai as well as on an international level. Whether they are giving back to a community, empowering entrepreneurs in 3rd world countries or using vegetable oil to print on recycled …

H&M Conscious Collection Launches Red Carpet Looks

H&M is our go to for on trend, in-expensive hits that will spice up any outfit. With their quality and quantity of clothes every season, responsible fashion didn’t always go in the same sentence as the brand. Fast forward to 2012, here they are with an entire range dedicated to responsible fashion, their “Conscious Collection” and they are more then proud to share all their ethical endevours with the shopping public.

They have now taken it a step further, and that concious step was onto the red capret. The need for responsible fashion goes beyond every day cotton basics, people …
