With a first love of fashion and all avenues it extends along, Irish food also holds a meaningful place in our hearts. Despite living in Dubai, a select number of Irish establishments can deliver decent attempts at some home favourites, nothing is quite as good as finding Tayto’s or Barry’s Tea in Dubai though. It makes the suitcase a little lighter after each trip.
Spotting Sophie Morris on Twitter randomly led to our discover of Kooky Dough. They say timing is everything as when I checked out her cookie brand, she was busy printing out Arabic labels which were for products en route to, yes, Dubai! With having a weakness for freshly baked goods (and anything Mum cooks!), this evening treat took less then 15 minutes to cook and leave cool and less than 5 minutes to eat with yummy vanilla ice-cream. (Let’s face it…they were never going to have a change to cool down!)
For those in Dubai, check out Spinney’s for a great range of this fab Irish products whose flavours include white chocolate and cranberry and chunky chocolate chip and for those in the Emerald Isle, it is stocked at a good supermarket near you!
