What we like to call “Responsible Fashion” has always been one of the corner stones of Classic with Colour, an aspect of any fashion company or brand who acts responsibly, be it in their advertising, marketing, production, branding, packing. One small change, improvement to make your brand more sustainable, by each and every fashion brand in the world collectively could start to have a positive impact on the industry. And of course, followed by another and another.
For those not familiar with ReDress in Ireland, it is a better fashion initiative believes that the fashion industry can and should be better. As part ...

Perhaps a tad off centre from what we usually write about, emerging young designers, but with the new comes inspiration from the old iconic periods in fashion. Studs, neon, leg warmers and flapper dresses each have their place in fashion history, some returning more popular than others. And thankfully some, not at all.
As one of fashion history’s most iconic periods, the 1920′s has much to be acknowledged with; flapper dresses, intricate beading, pearls and finger wave hair styles. And of course, The Great Gatsby. Inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film and in collaboration with Oscar winning costume designer, Catherine Martin, Tiffany has launched ...

Closing the first season of Fashion Forward was a selection of emerging and iconic names in the Middle Eastern fashion scene, many of which are based in Dubai. Indulging the fashion senses in theatrical detail to playful pieces, the range of talent from these designers offers solid building blocks for this event and region to potentially grow into one the largest and most powerful fashion regions in the world.
After a fashionable brunch and an industry panel discussion on how to start your own fashion label, award winning Tresor Sauvages opened Day 3. Created by Amalie Beljafla and Soraya AlAli (who ...

Inspired by the ornateness of Regency convex mirrors, sliding square puzzles & the photography of John Thomson’s China Series, Danielle used laser-cut leather, silver silk lamé and Swarovski crystal pearls to bring her designs to life.
Since then, Danielle has been working flat out as a fashion design lecturer, meeting production deadlines & creating her new collection for next season. “It’s been exhausting but great at the same time,” she says. ...

For a magpie, anything shiny and silver catches their eye but for us it is anything that is unique, colourful and beautiful. Having discovered this brand by Aya Tabari a few months back, Mochi is the name on many people’s lips (and hips) in Dubai. Featuring unique embroidery designs with strong colours and stitching, it is a collection featuring separates, bags and even pieces for your home.

Taking shapes and styles that are on trend and contemporary, they are transformed into exquisite pieces of craftmanship, hand made by artisans. Always prefering something unique and bespoke, each piece from Mochi is individual ...

Willow & Clo is a new jewelry line created by the very talented Chloe Townsend. The Irish designer learnt the art of making jewelry in The Scuala D’oro in Rome. The next step on her journey was to London to study design in the GIA, in order to learn the skill of transforming her inspirations into jewelry pieces. Whilst there, she discovered she had a boundless curiosity for gemstones and she continually strives to deepen her knowledge of them.
We recently got the opportunity to ask Chloe a few questions about Willow & Clo -
What inspired you to create your label Willow & Clo?

Established with a mission to become the definitive fashion platform in the Middle East, Fashion Forward, the brainchild of Bong Guerrero, celebrated designers on the catwalk, through forums & conversations and a pop-up shop and Fashion Forward cafe to make the event accessible and open to true lovers of fashion.

While I can’t quite have freshly cut flowers everyday for the next 6 weeks in Dubai, what I do have is an incredible love for floral headbands right now. Inspired from Bohemian free spirits, they are the perfect accessory for any occasion. Found conveniently ...
