CWC Diary : & Other Stories

CWC Diary : & Other Stories

I’ve always been a fan of Hennes & Mauritz aka H&M cooler side of things, their H&M Trend Collection, COS and now the recently open store & Other Stories. A recent trip to London meant I’d the good fortune of getting to explore Regent Streets newest resident, located at 256 – 258 Regent Street.

The store only opened less than a month ago in London, opening stores in Copenhaegan, Paris, Stockholm and Amsterdam. The 2 story loft-like store is bright, spacious & easy to shop.

It offers the full package, well for girls anyway – sorry guys!, clothes, accessories, shoes & …

Winter Wonderland at Etoile

Winter Wonderland at Etoile

Preparing for the festive season, embracing the atmosphere and enjoying the feeling of Christmas can be a challenge to achieve successfully in Dubai considering the sun shines 99% of the time, the temperatures drop to that of a great Irish summer, 25 degrees, and you miss the experience of layering up with cardigans and coats.
To bring some inspiration with those in fashion in Dubai, Etoile La Boutique hosted a wonderful event with two of Dubai’s great fashion bloggers, both personal favourites of mine and two genuine, sweet, stylish ladies. Lisa Strannesten, a Swedish fashion …

Japengo Cafe

Japengo Cafe

Not a regular post, but I appreciate good food as much as a beautiful leather handbag and a well designed dress. Only recently having my first Japengo experience a few weeks back at the Palm Strip location on an idyllic Dubai November night, I have been highly praising the experience based on fabulous food.
Creating an international mixture on their new menu, having tried the Lebanese platter and a Wasibi Prawns, trying out the new sumptuous flavours with a beautiful tasting menu was the perfect way to start the week.
A flavoursome selection included butternut squash soup and an Avocado & Shrimp …

Corto Moltedo

Corto Moltedo

The day where a bag served as an unattractive holdall for necessary day to day items including keys, mobile phones, make-up bags and other unnecessary paraphernalia stocked inside is long over thanks to designers creating covetable, colourful and enviable structures to grace the arms of ladies.. Corto Moltedo’s collection of bags offer a stunning range of box clutches with texturized and beaded details, strong pops of neon (a favourite of Anna Dello Russo’s) as well as suptle, soft leather holdalls and oversized clutches with great attention to detail.
Held at the luxurious residence, Villa Corto in Emirates Hills, a private preview showcased the …

Hummingbird Bakery

Hummingbird Bakery

Finding the perfect destination to enjoy an opportunity to recharge to fashion batteries is a must when shopping. Mall shopping makes these choices a little easier. A London favourite (as well as a favourite of Stella, Rihanna and Gywenth), Hummingbird Bakery, has just opened in The Dubai Mall on the Lower Ground Floor with an extensive menu of sweet treats including cupcakes, cheesecakes, an assortment of cakes complimented by a delicious coffee menu. Almost being spoilt for choice, it is definitely worth a second (or a first) visit to this American style bakery.
