Ananasa is a company I heard about a few months back. To those in Ireland and Europe, they are the Etsy of the Middle East. Inspired by a quote their mother always told them growing up, Ananasa showcases a wide selection of hand-made pieces from the Gulf Region and Middle East. Jewellery, clothes, homewares to even edible products all handmade by artisans, artists and designers.
Having just come from MAKE ignition, an inspiring and motivational event from budding online entrepreneurs held this evening at MAKE Business Hub in Dubai Marina, Zeina and Rana of Ananasa spoke about their progress, strategies and important & key aspects of being a start-up business.
Some designers I love on their website include the dramatic necklaces from Looplit, flirty and feminine Dubai brand Noosh who I recently did a street style campaign for ASOS Marketplace with and Love Candle Lanterns from Glowskies. It really is bringing the hand-made talents of the Middle East to a worldwide community and worth checking out.
