Shaikha Salama Mosque





Shaikha Salama Mosque, Al Ain
The newly reconstructed Shaikha Salama Mosque in the centre of Al Ain has changed the skyline and the idea of a traditional mosque. Designed by renowned Jordanian architect Jafar Tukan, it offers a contemporary interpretation of the traditional place of worship for Muslims.
With underground parking to help accommodate the 4,800 worshippers that the mosque will hold, it also features modern features including lifts and a high-tech air conditioning system. Quite unseen for most mosques.
